Experience
Hugo O'Kelly holds his Master Ocean qualification and brings over 25,000 nautical miles of hands-on experience as a professional Captain across the UK, Mediterranean, East Coast and Caribbean, including multiple transatlantic crossings.
He has run sailing catamarans and monohulls up to 25m, both charter and private, overseen builds and commissioning from spec to handover, managed yachts, crew and budgets, and guided owners through the first stages of ownership, both charter and private.
Why did I start Yachtwise?
I've seen too many owners buy a yacht without fully understanding what it takes to run, maintain and protect it as an asset.
